The world of work is undergoing a radical transformation, given that the Internet and digital structures enable productive collaboration \u2013 regardless of the place of work. The breakthrough of mobile working came with the Covid-19 pandemic \u2013 and it is continuing well beyond this period. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our eco survey<\/a> shows that 74.6 per cent of employees would like to continue using digital technologies for their work, irrespective of the location. As a result, in 2022, the theme of \u201chybrid working\u201d and the respective challenges for employers took centre stage for the New Work Competence Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We kicked off with the German-language \u201cHybrid Work\u201d podcast episode<\/a>, in which Lucia Falkenberg, Spokesperson for the New Work Competence Group, spoke about changes in our Cologne office and highlighted design options for a hybrid working world.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

In an exchange with our members, it became clear that companies are facing challenges, especially in human resources management. As such, in the digital event format \u201cLeading at a Distance\u201d, we identified solutions to the particular challenges of digital leadership and spelt out best practices. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hybrid models have not only dramatically changed the way of working, but also have a radical influence on employees\u2019 lifestyles \u2013 and these have both positive and negative effects.
